Temporary exhibitions
For our latest temporary exhibition, we are proud to present Stefania Venezia
“The Yantra” is a visual mantra composed of symbolic images, geometric levels of archetypal echoes and the symmetry and perfection of the universe. The mandala is a circle depicting a geometric projection of the world expressed in its essential scheme. The term stems from its meaning of essence and principle.
When we focus on a Yantra Mandala, the mind begins to resonate, conscious or unconscious, together with the energy connected to the symbols. “
Stefania Venezia: Art and Spirit
Firstly, Stefania Venezia’s art explores spirituality and meditation. Indeed, her interest comes from psychology studies and travels in the East. Specifically, these trips were both physical and inner journeys. Therefore, she aims to show spiritual paths through her art.
Furthermore, her art is a “meditative action.” However, it’s not a quick act. Instead, it is careful and planned. Essentially, it shows time and space. Shapes, symbols, and abstract ideas combine. Consequently, this creates a flow of positive energy.
Her Artistic Journey
Initially, Stefania Venezia has loved art since she was young. In fact, in 1970, she won an award for her art. Subsequently, she later studied in Rome. There, she learned decorative techniques and trompe-l’œil.
Moreover, her inner life is enriched by psychology studies. Additionally, she traveled to Sri Lanka, Thailand, Burma, and Indonesia. These experiences, therefore, shaped her art. In particular, she learned about spiritual symbols like the yantra mandala.
Ultimately, her art comes from meditation. Thus, the images she paints show the time and place of her meditations.
Stefania Venezia’s work is, in short, a blend of inner and outer worlds. She uses, then, art to express her spiritual journey. Her paintings are a record of her meditative experiences. In other words, she captures moments of thought and feeling.
Moreover, her art is not just visual. Rather, it’s a process of inner exploration. She uses, in turn, her skill to show her spiritual understanding. The viewer is invited to share in her journey.
Finally, her work shows a deep connection to spiritual symbols. She uses, notably, these symbols to create art that is both beautiful and meaningful. Essentially, she connects art and spirituality.
Her art is, moreover, a reflection of her personal growth. She uses, indeed, her art to explore her inner self. Her work is a visual diary of her spiritual exploration.
